- "To what extent were the Japanese partially responsible for bringing communism to China?"
- During the time of the Japanese occupation of China it was the Communist Party that did the majority of the fighting against the Japanese, whilst the KMT Nationalist government under Chiang Kai Shek did little or no fighting against the Japanese, only against the Communists. This meant that the ordinary Chinese felt more approval for the Communist Party. Keep in mind that The majority of Chinese were peasants and barely earned a living off the land, and anyone that was able to promise a better future gave them some hope. Initially it was the KMT, but the Communist Party later was able to give a better alternative.
